Career Connections Center

The UF Career Connections Center(C3) is excited to offer spaces and technology to host your event. The facility underwent a transformative renovation and now features seven multi-purpose spaces, 21 interview modules, and a variety of nooks and spaces designed for connecting. Events held at the C3 include: career fairs, receptions, alumni speaking events, University-wide trainings, UF department meetings and retreats, Alachua County voting, and much more.

 Each multipurpose space is capable of live streaming and recording all programming, making the C3 even more accessible for all. Spaces can also be arranged in many customizable ways to accommodate a variety of events. Florida Gym

The historic Florida Gymnasium provides the perfect location for any organization’s event—whether academic, athletic, or even charitable in nature. Recent events held in the gym include the following: seminars, lectures, luncheons, exhibitions, orientation programs, award ceremonies, student group meetings, academic competitions, holiday parties, and benefit dinners; basketball, volleyball, and ping-pong tournaments. 

Chairs, tables (rectangle or round), staging, audio/video equipment, and other items are available to rent, making the planning and preparation for your event seamless.

Reserve the Florida Gym for your organization’s event today. Navigate to this web page (http://gym.hhp.ufl.edu), completely fill out the Facility Request Form, and submit the form. General rules, rental rates, and available rental items are also listed on the web page. Keep in mind that events are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis: the earlier you submit the form, the better your chance of securing the gym on your preferred date.

Keene Faculty Center, Dauer Hall

The Keene Faculty Center (103 Dauer Hall) rents for $100 for College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) faculty and $200 for non-CLAS faculty. Student groups cannot use this room. No furniture can be moved. Cleanup is the renter’s responsibility.

Pugh Hall Ocora

The Ocora is available for reservations from UF faculty, staff and student groups registered with Student Activities and Involvement between 5 pm to 9 pm Monday thru Friday. Reservations outside of these hours require special permission. Student groups are not permitted to reserve the Ocora on the weekends. Reservations require at least two weeks’ notice.

Stephen C. O'Connell Center

Straughn IFAS Extension Professional Development Center

The Straughn IFAS Extension Professional Development Center aims to provide outstanding venue for workshops, trainings and meetings but is also available for other types of events. The center consists of a large, covered outdoor pavilion and a large ballroom which can seat up to 300 people or be divided with one or two air walls to create up to three separate meeting spaces. Each room includes state of the art, built-in audio visual equipment.

Individuals/groups that reserve Room 100 (Previously Room 1A) are responsible for the following:

  • Arranging furniture in format desired (currently arranged in lecture style seating)
  • Arranging desired catering (no specific catering service has to be used).
  • Cleaning the room
    • wiping down all tables, if used (cleaning supplies provided)
    • removing & properly disposing of all trash to dumpsters (trash bags provided - dumpster located outside of  Smathers Library in the Library West Service Drive)
    • vacuuming any areas of the room that require attention (vacuum cleaner provided)
  • Returning furniture (tables & chairs) to original format (lecture style seating-floor diagram available on podium)
  • Provide additional seating if event attendance exceeds 120 people. Per fire code 304 individuals are allowed in the room at one time; however, there is only enough seating for 120 individuals. There are 40 tables (seat 3 ea) (size 2ft x 6ft).
  • The room is equipped with a stationary podium, two ceiling mounted projectors/projections screens and two wall-mounted viewing screens (one behind the podium and one on the wall in front of/across from the podium.
  • The rental fee is $200 per day for UF affiliated departments/groups/organizations. Non UF affiliated persons/groups are not permitted to reserve the room.  There is an additional $75 fee if you require AV technology beyond use of the podium microphone.
  • Days and hours available for rental are Mondays-Thursdays (8am-6:30pm) and Fridays (8am-4:30pm) Reservations are not accepted for Saturdays, Sundays or any other days/times the University of Florida.
  • Reservation agreements must be completed and turned in at least two weeks prior to your event.
  • Reservations cannot be completed six or more months prior to your event.
