The Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer for the University of Florida. In this capacity, the provost is responsible for all matters that affect campus academic programs. The provost oversees the quality of program instruction, collaborative research initiatives, and budgetary planning and priorities for academic programs.
The Office of the Provost administers a number of professional development programs for faculty. The Provost’s Office also works to enhance student learning by overseeing the curriculum and coordinating programs in undergraduate education. In addition, the Office of the Provost oversees recruiting and admissions for undergraduate and graduate programs.
