Dr. Heather White

Vice President for Student Life


Dr. Heather White serves as Vice President for Student Life at the University of Florida, overseeing more than 20 departments and units committed to ensuring every Gator is prepared for lifelong success through an individualized, excellent student experience.

With over 25 years in higher education, Dr. White’s expertise spans the student affairs spectrum from housing and residence life, career services, and dean of students. A a first-generation college graduate, Dr. White earned a psychology degree from Troy University, a master’s in counselor education from Mississippi State University, and an Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of North Florida. Dr. White joined UF in 2003, serving in various roles within the Career Connections Center, including director for nearly ten years. In 2017, she became Interim Dean of Students and later Associate Vice President & Dean of Students, where she championed student health and wellbeing initiatives. In 2022, she was appointed to her current role of Vice President.
