Administrative Areas of the Office of the Provost
Various administrative units on campus report directly to the Provost's Office. Ths is in addition to the academic units noted under Duties and Responsibilites of the Provost.
Academic and Faculty Affairs
The Associate Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs (APAF) works with the Provost, UF units, the Faculty Senate, and other institutions such as the Florida Board of Governors to facilitate academic programming, manage the University promotion and tenure process, and coordinate issues related to the faculty.
Conflicts of Interest Office
The UF Conflicts of Interest (COI) Program is an office established under the purview of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. The UF COI Program administers UFOLIO (UF Online Interest Organizer), UF’s new online reporting system that streamlines, modernizes, and standardizes the way UF employees disclose their reportable outside activities and financial interests. In collaboration with our campus partners, the UF COI Program seeks to identify and manage conflicts of interest that could undermine institutional integrity.

The Office of Admissions Web site provides information and assistance for prospective, applying and admitted students. - Registrar's Office
The Office of the University Registrar supports the academic and research missions of the university and serves as a central administrative office for students, faculty and alumni. We provide data to internal and external constituencies, enabling these offices to make informed enrollment management and policy decisions. This office ensures adherence to academic policy, preserving academic integrity and safeguarding academic records. - Student Financial Affairs
The Office for Student Financial Affairs (SFA) is the financial aid office at the University of Florida. SFA is a service organization with the primary responsibility of helping students secure the necessary funding to pursue their educational goals at the University of Florida.
Graduate School
The Graduate School is responsible for the coordination of the graduate programs of the various colleges and the divisions of the university.
Honors
The Honors Program offers opportunities for students to enroll in small, challenging classes with the best faculty at the university. The Honors Program sponsors study abroad programs and Honors students also benefit from undergraduate research opportunities and unique internship programs.
Institutional Assessment
Institutional Assessment provides guidance, oversight and coordination of the university's academic assessment and institutional effectiveness processes, with primary responsibility for the university's efforts to maintain regional accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
Institutional Planning and Research
The Office of Institutional Planning and Research is responsible for providing the university management with information that supports institutional planning, policy formation and decision making; for coordinating responses to inquiries for university-related information and serving as a comprehensive source for information about the institution; and for administering the Board of Governors data collection/reporting system on campus.
International Center
The UF International Center (UFIC) administers international programs for visiting scholars and students, study abroad programs, and collaborative agreements with partner institutions across the world. UFIC also helps the UF community to overcome the barriers and to navigate the increasingly complex intricacies of both American and international regulations on global engagement.
Ombuds
The purpose of the Office of the Ombuds is to assist students in resolving problems and conflicts that arise in the course of interacting with the institution. By considering problems in an unbiased way, the Ombuds works to achieve a fair resolution and works to protect the rights of all parties involved.
Postdoctoral Affairs
The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs serves the postdoctoral community by orienting and connecting postdocs to resources to support their professional development and wellbeing, while working to enhance the visibility of postdoctoral contributions to UF’s research mission.
